I did it!

I did it...this is the phrase that the twins say. They use it in circumstances such as this one that happened earlier today.

I am in the kitchen and I hear screaming in the living room. Hannah and Ruth are standing staring at each other, Hannah crying, Ruth smiling. I pick up Hannah and check her to make sure she's okay while she keeps crying and Ruth keeps smiling. Then Ruth points at Hannah and says, "I did it." I, knowing I will not get a response, ask, "Ruthie, what did you do to her?" Ruth smiles, points, and says, "I did it." By this time Hannah has stopped crying and is looking with fear at Ruth. Ruth walks up, points at Hannah, Hannah cries again, and Ruth says, "I did it."

I will never know what it is that Ruth did, but this is an example of how they love to torment each other and how they love to tell us, "I did it!"
