Long overdue pictures

We had a nice Thanksgiving and began preparing for Christmas. There is always an excitement in decorating and preparing, something everyone loves. All of our decorations and things are in storage, but we are making the best of it, as always. We have been given ornaments from people and are making many things!

Around the house... the kids are having their exam week this week and finishing up their first term. Josiah, Layla and Ian have been extra crafty lately, always creating something. Ian made a board game and named it "SWAP". They all love playing it, along with chess, apples to apples, uno and set...more favorites that are always being played around here.

Josiah has become quite an artist. He is constantly drawing and they are very good. I will post pictures of some of his drawings soon.

Layla is in a tea party stage right now. She has a permanent table set for tea, with books of poetry and lovely music. We take turns being a guest at the table, although she can't wait to be able to have her sisters as her guests.

Ruth and Hannah are adorable. They like to hug each other. It is so sweet. I keep trying to get it on video so I can post it, but they never do it when the camera is out. As soon as I get it, I will post it.

The seasons are amazing. It is so nice to wake up and be COLD, put on a fire, warm up, drink coffee and hot chocolate, snuggle, read, laugh, play.

Although the other day Josiah asked where our beach was. He just realized we didn't have one nearby. He was not happy about our lack of beach here. Yes, he is used to going to the beach in the winter!

Today is a chilly day... we will go to the library, come home, and mama will make meatloaf. Have a lovely day!

I found your blog from the Lockwoods. I am so glad that your twins were fine! I had a friend who lost both her twin boys to what you had. Thankfully, she was blessed with a little girl later on.

I enjoyed reading about how you and your dh met the other day.

God Bless,

That is so neat about your kids and the games! How fun! I think I will try to sit down and play one with Annie soon as her siblings can't quite play yet! Aren't their imaginations the greatest? :-)
