Everyone was shocked a month ago when she passed away suddenly from a brain aneurysm.
This past week, we drove from Washington to California for her memorial service and some much needed time with family.
Before the service on Saturday, we drove to the coast to visit my mama, sister Hanna, brother, stepdad and friends. We had a wonderful time.
The kids were very glad to play at their favorite park.

A lesson I have learned is to not let relationships slip away. I am so greatful that I was given the chance to get my brother Reid back into my life. I had neglected that relationship and, sadly we have missed too many years of each others lives. We can make up for that now though, and we will.

Micki, you are so lovely, and I know
you are at peace in the presence of our Lord.
Thank you for being you.
Thank you for loving me.
I love you.

come back!!!!!!
Aww, I'm so sorry about your mother. Beautiful post to her.
What a testimony to God's grace in your life!! COming from a broken family myself, and having many friends from them too, one does not hear these tales of love and thankfulness enough. Thanks for sharing yours.
